Getting There
All conference activities will be held either in the hotel or within walking distance. So unless you are arriving at other area airports, or have other commitments in the Bay Area during your stay, a rental car is not recommended.
There are several transportation options to the hotel from San Francisco International Airport (SFO):
Taxi
This is the easiest and most popular option. The fare for taxi service between the airport and the St. Francis Hotel is approximately $45 and travel time is about 30 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day.
Private Car
The hotel Concierge can arrange for a sedan or stretch limousine to meet you at Baggage Claim. Cost for personal pickup starts at around $105 for a sedan, with additional charges for limos or international pickups. Contact the hotel directly for more information at 1.415.397.7000.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
Train service is available via BART, which is located next to the International Terminal at SFO. Tickets to downtown San Francisco cost $5.15. Board a Dublin/Pleasanton-bound train and get off at Powell Street, which is the 10th stop. Exit and walk 3.5 blocks north on Powell to the Westin St. Francis at Union Square. The ride from SFO to Powell Street station is approximately 30 minutes, but allow a full hour to accommodate walking time and train schedules. Visit www.bart.gov for a complete schedule.
Parking
For attendees with a car, garage parking is available on-site, with in and out privileges. Parking rates start at $49 per night for a standard-sized car.
